Little Brown Farm offers a beautiful seasonal setting for photography, with changing blooms throughout the growing season. Lavender is typically at its peak from mid June to end of July, while other flowers bloom in succession across the farm, creating different colours and textures throughout the season. Although the fields are not in full bloom all at once, there is always something beautiful to photograph.
Throughout the farm, you will find a variety of unique settings including lavender rows, flower fields, cottage gardens, perennial beds, rustic pathways, and open natural spaces that photograph beautifully in soft morning and evening light.
Do photography sessions need to be booked in advance? Yes, all photography sessions must be arranged ahead of time. Sessions are scheduled outside of public visiting hours, either: • in the morning before the farm opens • or in the evening after closing
When is a photography booking required? Photography intended for professional, commercial, portfolio, branding, or client use — including sessions involving cameras, tripods, props, or additional equipment — is considered professional photography and requires advance booking outside regular visiting hours. Casual personal photos taken during your visit with your cell phone are always welcome.
Can photography happen during public hours? Photography sessions are scheduled outside of regular opening hours to create a more comfortable experience for both photographers and farm visitors. This allows sessions to take place without interruption from other guests and helps ensure visitors enjoying the farm are not included in your photographs. Early morning and evening bookings also offer softer, more beautiful natural light, which is often ideal for photography.
What happens if weather is poor? Rescheduling is possible depending on availability.
Can multiple areas of the farm be used during one session? Yes, depending on season and the length of time you booked your session for.
Can clients pick flowers during the session? Flower picking is separate unless arranged in advance.
How much is a photography session? Photography sessions are $75 per hour, with payment required once your booking is confirmed to secure your session time.
