Volunteer Opportunities at Little Brown Farm 🪻
At Little Brown Farm, volunteering offers a chance to step into the rhythms of a working lavender and flower farm, learn practical skills, and contribute to something meaningful and beautiful.
We welcome volunteers throughout the growing season and offer a variety of experiences depending on the season, interests, and abilities of each person.
Volunteer Opportunities For Students
High school students are welcome to complete volunteer hours at the farm, and we can provide sign-off toward the required 40 volunteer hours for graduation.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
• Lavender pruning in spring
• Harvesting lavender in summer
• Helping prepare lavender for distillation and essential oil production
• Weeding and seasonal field support
• Sorting dried flowers
• Assisting with bouquet preparation
• Preparing materials for workshops and events
• Helping in the shop with wrapping soaps, stamping packaging, and organizing products
This is an opportunity to experience real farm work, develop responsibility, and gain hands-on exposure to seasonal agriculture and small business operations.
Volunteer Opportunities For Adults & Seniors
We also welcome mature adults and seniors who enjoy purposeful, hands-on work in a peaceful farm setting.
Opportunities may include:
• Sorting dried flowers
• Creating dried flower bouquets
• Preparing lavender bundles
• Wrapping products and labeling
• Assisting with shop preparation and seasonal displays
Some tasks are creative and quiet, offering a satisfying way to spend time while contributing to the life of the farm.
Some volunteer roles involve outdoor field work, while others focus on creative indoor projects. We do our best to match tasks with interests and comfort levels whenever possible.
