Our Beginnings

Our farming journey begun in 2011 when we were inspired to share the bounty of our vegetable garden with others.  The idea to run small CSA (Community Shared Agriculture) was born, where we sold shares to our vegetable garden.  Over the years we had a variety of set ups, mostly a wagon or a table in our driveway with any vegetables that we had an abundance of.

Our kids grew up helping with the entire process, starting with planting, then weeding, harvesting, and finally selling at our farm stand.

The structure and focus of our mini market changed and evolved over the years as the boys grew and our interests changed as well.  Fresh cut flowers started to take on more significance as Ania’s interest in them bloomed.  The biggest shift came with the COVID years.  The prolonged stay at home, the added stress of being a health care provider, and the time spent in self-reflection led us to a more farm and family focused path.  Just like so many other people, we decided to embrace what brings us joy and invest more of us in what we believe.

Brian and the boys found so much joy and fun in tapping maple trees, collecting sap, and turning it into maple syrup.  The beauty of early mornings spent in our bush collecting pails of sap and the afternoons and evenings chopping wood and slowing boiling the sap down, proved to be very rewarding.  We are now entering the third season of our small batch maple syrup production.

Our Future and Vision

With each growing season our vision expands.  In 2021 we planted 1600 lavender plants and watched the magic unfold.  This will be our third season and we will be adding 5000 more plants!  Since we both continue to hold full time jobs, we take this journey one season at a time.  We have been blessed with friends and strangers who volunteer to help us along the way helping us bring forth our dream.

This one quote by Esther Perel always resonated with me: “The quality of your relationships determines the quality of your life”.  This message provides the foundation for our desire to create a space for people to spend meaningful time together and find deeper connection to each other.   Our vision of creating a gathering space for people to deepen their connection to nature, themselves and others is strong and clear.  Our intention is to help people make purposeful presence a priority in their lives.
